Número 1

The first post. The blank page. The first impression. The pressure is real. What is the intent? The truth is, I’m not entirely sure.

I kept having conversations with those around me with certain nostalgia of the old days in which we poured over books and spent hours upon hours in front of the screen on Niketalk and other platforms (remember Karmaloop?) just interacting with like-minded individuals. Kind of like that drunken dare -we’re all too familiar with- I woke up one day and after my sleepy coffee, I continued my day with a “fuck it, I’ll do it”. I’m always working on a wide array of projects parallel to what you’re reading now, so this will keep me true, let me track my progress, and share every step of the journey.

So here it is, number one, the first post, número 1, the starting point. Said and done. What will this be about? Time will tell, but probably everything and nothing. Graffiti, sneakers, brands, marketing, trends… you name it, it might just be a day in the life of…well, me, but I’ve felt the urge to write, snap pictures and share.

What’s fuelling this is just that, my interest to share, talk and interact with one another, so please feel free to share comments on here, DM, email, smoke signals, anything…everything. I’ll try to get back to you as soon as possible.

A bit on me - I work for a large multinational sports company but my interest in footwear, design and this kind of stuff started a long time before I started working in the industry. I have a semi-professional sports background, and am prone to certain competition in my everyday life, although I channel my failed sports career in love for food, design, fashion, graffiti, and sneakers.

I’ll ramble on about the greatness of quality meat, the importance of tone to tone threads and who knows what else, read if you’re interested, reach out if you have something to say, but do something about it.

One last note - how amazing is ramen?
